Kaleidoscope Dreams (1988)
It is dark. Deep in the black she hears a figment of her imagination and she runs to hide like a frightened spider. Scurrying deeper and deeper into hooded black darkness she is trapped in a cloak that holds worries and fears and all the things she tries, every day, to suppress.
There is a face, her own, calling out help!
She turns and looks into black and blue pooled eyes and they cry and call and want her to help. But something scrapes by, screaming distraction into her mind and when she looks back the eyes have been swallowed into a sea of oblivion and never ending expectation.
Guilt rises in her throat for not having helped herself. She could have driven away distraction with devilish determination – but time is so quickly lost in a sea of suppressed sorrow and soon routine takes control over passion.
Open YOUR mind and chase away the evil. Can YOU help her?
She echoes a shrill scream into the ebony of this never-ending nightmare. A shadow of reality lunges a foul fist at her – boasting freedom and fresh feelings – it stuffs itself into her weakening willpower. The fingers unfold and out fly the white wings of a million regrets and unfulfilled fantasies: once, she secretly stored them safely inside, afraid they were wrong and sinful. She cowers in shame at their reappearance but the white wings fly fast and furious and will not be suppressed. A fluffy white feather escapes the black night and miraculously falls down down, transforming into a crystal tear and blows a wet kiss into your opening human heart. Out come your emotions in an instant of forgotten ideals and now you run and hide like a frightened spider.
You are thrown into light and land on a white cloud – escapism will allow you to see her as she really is and you will laugh, scream, cry, shout, love, hurt and hate and it will be the best moment of your life.
The whiteness is moving in about you. Can you see clearly now? Soon it will be morning, but until the clock rings out relative reality you are invited deeper inside, to see clearly the colours of her mind.
Come quick now, the colours are beginning to call…
